FMYI, Inc. to be among first new B Companies in Oregon

Alto client, FMYI, Inc., will be among the first companies in Oregon to register as a B Company under Oregon’s new B Company law. Companies which elect to be subject to that law commit to operating with a general public benefit in mind, in addition to considering effects on its shareholders. This will allow FMYI to aim to achieve positive outcomes for the general public benefit, including social and environmental considers. Click here for more details.

The annual Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN) Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards is Oregon’s largest annual statewide gathering to celebrate our best and brightest entrepreneurs. And, at the 2013 event held in September at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower, two alto clients won awards in their respective categories.

alto law group is proud to announce the move of its offices to a new Pearl District location in the renovated Porter Glisan Building at 1211 NW Glisan Street. While the move nearly doubles the size of alto’s office in anticipation of future growth, it was also motivated by a desire for more stylish space and to get closer to the growing hub of technology start-ups located in and around the Pearl District. An open house is planned for Thursday, September 26th, from 4-7pm.
